: Co mmunicatio n between the receiver and the Re-
mo te Co ntro l unit is perfo rmed acco rding to the fo llo wing
metho d.
• The receiver unit receives the signals fro m the Remo te
Co ntro l unit as RF signals.
• The signals sent fro m the receiver unit to the Remo te
Co ntro l unit are sent as IR signals.
RF OFF
: Co nnect the separately so ld KENWO O D IR-9991
( IR transceiver) o r similar to the receiver fo r co mmunica-
tio n with the Remo te Co ntro l unit. ( Refer to page 52 fo r the

tenna is no t required.
Changing the RF Transmissio n Frequency
The RF remo te functio n may be unavailable due to radio
intreference, etc. In this case, the transmissio n frequency can
be changed.
To change the RF remo te transmissio n frequency:
1. O pen the battery co ver o n the rear.

3. Make sure the batteries in the Po wer To uch are fully
charged. Weak batteries will affect the range o f the Po wer
To uch.
4. Make sure that the range o f the Po wer To uch is being
affected by o ther radio frequency transmissio ns.
NO TE: The tests fo r range limits o f the Po werTo uch and
the Receiver were co nducted in o pen-air distance
tests. Actual distance o f the signal will be based o n
