OPERATION

Place the unit on a flat, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
Plug into the electrical outlet. The red power light will come on to
indicate that the appliance is switched on and that your crepe and
pancake maker is preheating.
When the green pilot light goes on, it means that the desired
temperature is reached. During use, this light will come on and off
regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating the
appliance's temperature.
Caution: during operation, the baking plate heats up. Use caution to
avoid burns. Use oven mitts and heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils!
To make crepes:
Place the "Crepe" plate onto the appliance and secure it onto the
heating element (for instructions on how to do this, go to "Assembly
and Removal of the Reversible plate").
Turn the temperature knob to the desired heat setting (from Light to
Dark, according to desired crepe doneness).
The plate should reach the selected temperature in a few minutes
only, and the green "Ready" indicator will illuminate.
Brush the plate with oil or non-stick cooking spray or clarified butter.
Pour a small amount of batter (approx. ¼ cup) onto the center of the
cooking plate.
Quickly spread the batter in circulating movements using the batter
spreader, taking care not to press down too hard, until desired
diameter of the crepe is achieved.
Allow the crepe to cook until the top surface is no longer runny, and
the bottom is set, about 45-60 seconds, and the crepe can be
moved slightly on the cooking plate.
Slide the wooden spatula under the crepe and turn the crepe over
the cook the other side.
Cook the crepe until just golden. Do not overcook. Use the wooden
spatula to remove the crepe from the cooking plate and place it on
a plate.
Repeat with remaining batter. You may cover your crepes to keep
them warm.
