SERVICE BRAKE ACCUMULATOR /
PILOT ACCUMULATOR
The accumulator is installed in the pilot circuit to the
service brake and the pilot valve.
High-pressure nitrogen gas is contained in the ac-
cumulator. Pilot pressure oil compresses nitrogen gas
via the diaphragm.
Pressure oil in the circuit is retained by compressing
nitrogen gas.
COMPONENT OPERATION / Charging Block
IMPORTANT: The accumulator cannot be disas-
sembled.
Replace the accumulator as an as-
sembly if necessary.
