2. Commissioning
2.1 Installation instructions
Fix the filter base (6) to the filter cartridge (4). To do this, turn the filter cartridge (4) upside down. The
thread is located in the centre of the filter cartridge (4). After fixing the filter cartridge (4) (to do this,
screw in the M 6 x 20 screws supplied (7) from below), position the filter pump (10) on the black filter
base (6) in such a way that the connecting hose (11) to the valve (1) can be easily installed. Screw the
pump (10) firmly on to the filter base (6) using the self-tapping screws (9) provided in addition to the
washer.
Then fix the hose nozzles incl. gasket to the pump with the union nut. Please note the marking on the
6-way valve (1) and connect the connecting hose (11) to the central hose stem marked -PUMP-. In the
case of the pump, the connection on the top (vertical connecting piece) is to be used (refer to figure).

2.3 Filling with water – commissioning the filter
Once the swimming pool has been cleaned and filled with water to the middle of the surface skimmer,
the filter pump (10) is also to be filled with water through the pre-filter.
2.3.1 System below the water surface
Open the gate valves (not included in scope of delivery) in the line from and to the swimming pool
(suction and pressure line).
2.3.2 System above the water surface
In case of filters installed above the water surface, a non-return valve is generally to be used on the
suction side.
Fill the pump (10) with water through the pre-filter and tighten the pump cover again. Take care that
the gasket inserted in the cover is not damaged or deformed. The pump only operates perfectly if the
gasket seals tightly and air can no longer be aspirated.
Before filling with sand, it must be ensured that the entire system is
undamaged.
Fill the filter cartridge (4) to ¼ with sand. Position the riser (8) in such a way
(centrally) that the 6-way valve (1) can be easily mounted. Remove the 6-
way valve (1) again and subsequently pour in the filter sand of grit size 0.4
mm to 0.8 mm in such a way that absolutely no sand falls into the riser (8)
(place an empty packaging bag on top). Pay attention to the precise grit
specification. Overly fine grit size results in sand being flushed into the pool.
Overly coarse grit size impairs filtering quality (0.4 to 0.8 mm).
Apply the 6-way valve (1) to the riser (8) and fix the 6-way valve (1) incl. O-
ring (3) to the filter cartridge (4) using the clamping ring (2) (apply the
