Bitbox Internal Clock
Bitbox displays the current clock time in the top left corner of most screens in the format <measure>: <beat>. If more than
one clock input is available, the highest priority clock signal (lowest priority number) will be used. Bitbox can delay the timing
of the playback of a Clip cell to synchronize it with a specified unit of musical clock time.
To synchronize the playback of Clip cells with the clock, configure a cell in Clip mode and set the value for Quant to
something other than None. Bitbox only synchronizes cells with a cell mode of Clip, and only when Quant is set to something
other than None , such as Quant: 1 bar. Bitbox will then delay the playback of the cell if needed to quantize it to the selected
quantization unit.
Note:
•
The Clock input must use 4 pulses per quarter (PPQs), or a pulse per 16th note.
•
If MIDI and CLOCK inputs are both used, Bitbox will select the highest priority clock based on the following order of
priority: 1.) CLOCK Input; 2.) MIDI Input; 3.) Internal Clock.
Reset the Clock
You can use the following methods to reset the clock counter back to 0:0:
•
Stop the CV clock input for a few seconds
•
Send a Clock Start signal over MIDI.
•
Power down the module
Use a MIDI Program Change to Load Presets
Some MIDI controllers support a MIDI command to trigger a program change. Bitbox can be configured to respond to MIDI
program changes by loading a preset. Bitbox will map the presets on the device in alphabetical order to program numbers.
The first preset on the device will be mapped to program 1. Keep in mind that when you change presets, even with a
program change, bitbox does not save your changes. So be sure to save your preset if needed before initiating a program
change.
Because of the potential for data loss, bitbox has a global parameter that allows you to control whether or not the device
responds to program change signals. By default, this is set to off.
To Enable or Disable MIDI Program Changes:
1.
Push Home until you see the Menu screen.
2.
Touch Settings.
3.
Push Info until you see the MIDI PC parameter. Set the value as desired.

Description
When a MIDI signal is connected to the MIDI jack on the front panel of
the module, bitbox will follow MIDI Start, Stop and Clock messages.
When no other clock input is provided, bitbox will use its own internal
clock.
