Use MIDI to Play a Cell Chromatically

Bitbox allows you to map a cell to a MIDI channel so that notes played on that MIDI channel will play the WAV file pitch shifted
to generate different notes.

To Play a Clip or Sample Cell Pitch Shifted:

1.
Push HOME until you get to the Main screen and select the cell you want to control with the MIDI Device.
2.
Push INFO until you see the parameter page with the setting for MIDI. Assign a specific channel to this cell and now
your MIDI device will play this cell. If the cell is a Sample or Clip, each MIDI note will play the cell at a different pitch.
By default, the original WAV file will play at Note 60, which is usually C4. If there is a Root Note configured in the
WAV file, the base sample will be played at the note specified in the root note. Other MIDI notes will trigger the
playback to be pitch shifted the appropriate number of semitones.
Note:
Any MIDI channel that you have mapped to an individual cell will no longer be available to trigger cells and sequences.
You will need to set a different channel for the GlobalMIDI setting. You can switch MIDI channels on your MIDI device if
you want to switch between triggering cells and sequences on one channel, and playing notes for a single cell on another
channel.
You can have more than one cell mapped to a specific MIDI channel. In this case, bitbox will play all mapped cells when a
note is received on that channel.

Use Control Voltage to Trigger a Row of Cells

You can send a control voltage signal to the right column of CV Modulators to trigger all of the cells in the corresponding
row. This is called a Scene Trigger.
1.
Plug a CV signal into the right column of CV Modulator jacks. These are the jacks
that map to EXT1 through EXT4.
2.
Touch the corresponding EXT cell and then press INFO. Bitbox displays the
External Input Parameters screen.
3.
Set the value of the Mod parameter to Scene Trig.
4.
Send a trigger signal to the configured CV Modulator jack. Bitbox will trigger all of
the cells in the row simultaneously.
5.
To disable the Scene Trigger, set the value of the Mod parameter for this EXT cell to Custom. This frees up this EXT
input for use in modulation without triggering the scene.

Synchronize Playback with a Clock

There are three different musical clocks that you can use with bitbox:

Description
Bitbox gets the CV Clock signal from an input to the Clock jack on the
front panel of the module. Bitbox expects a clock pulse signal of with 4
