    Start by downloading and extracting the software from the Avenview website. Connect the controlling PC to the serial port on the SW-HDM-4X1 with a USB to serial adapter cable then, plug in the DC power connecter. Start the software by double-clicking on "HDMI 4x1 switcher.exe". Making sure "RS232" is selected, click on "Scan ComPort".
