The IMSPM01 module interfaces a computer to INFI 90 mod-
ules within a process control unit (PCU). The SPM module
communicates with other modules over the module bus.
Built-in SPM functions support Bailey Controls computer or
engineering work station (EWS) software commands. These
functions allow computer access to module configuration I/O
and status information.
Current limiting resistors prevent excessive current from flow-
ing through the RS-232-C cable if there is a significant differ-
ence of potential between the signal ground of the computer
and the signal ground of the INFI 90 components.
