Starter Motor Pinion

Removal/Installation
Remove left crankcase cover and
drive face.
Remove starter motor pinion.
Install the starter motor pinion in
reverse order of removal.

Starter Motor Pinion Inspection

Pinion, reduction gear for wear out
or damage → replace it with new
one.
Gear journal for wear out or
damage → replace it with new one.
Check the pinion for sliding in axial
direction smoothly.
The pinion sliding in axial direction
not in smooth → replace it with new
one.
