OPERATION SUMMARY
•
If the rated power consumption of the equipment is in
the range of the maximum specified wattage of your
c o n v e rt e r, test the inverter to ensure that it will operate
p ro p e r l y.
•

•
Use the heaviest gauge wire (smaller the number, the
larger or heavier the cable) available to connect the
inverter to the power source.
•
When operating the inverter with the engine off, start the
engine every 30 to 60 minutes and let it run for at least
10 minutes to re c h a rge the battery.
•
In the event of automatic shut down, turn the invert e r
OFF (O) immediately. Do not re s t a rt the inverter until the
s o u rce of the problem has been identified and corre c t-
e d .
•
To avoid battery drain always disconnect the inverter
when the vehicle is not in use for long periods.
•
Do not expose the inverter to moisture.
•
Avoid placing the inverter near sources of heat or in
direct sunlight.

When in use, make certain that the inverter is proper-
ly ventilated.
•
Do not use the inverter near flammable materials,
fumes, or gases.
•
Always operate the inverter in accordance with the
instructions in this manual. Failure to do so may result
in property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.
•
While connecting the inverter to the power source,
make certain that the inverter is well removed from
any potential source of flammable fumes or gases.
•
Direct connection of the 2000 model inverter to a dis -
tribution panel is to be made by a licensed electrician
only.
•
Always ground the inverter before operating it.
•
In the event a continuous audible alarm or automatic
shut off, turn the inverter OFF immediately. Do not
restart the inverter until the source of the problem has
been identified and corrected.
