Introduction
The 4934A TIMS can be controlled remotely through its RS-232 serial port. When
connected to a controller, for example a PC running a terminal emulation program,
the unit can be operated just as if the front-panel controls were being used.
The TIMS is operated using a set of control commands to set parameters, execute
tests, and so forth. A set of query commands is used to retrieve measurements for
display on the controller device.
