Section 6: Troubleshooting

General Troubleshooting

Some of the more common problems are listed in the
table below. This information is intended to be a check or
verification that simple causes can be located and fixed.
It does not cover all types of problems. Procedures that
require in-depth knowledge or skills should be referred to
a Generac Authorized Service Dealer.
Problem
Battery remains in
Waiting state
Battery not recognized
by inverter
If problems persist, contact the nearest Independent Authorized Service Dealer (IASD) or Generac Customer Service
at 1-888-436-3722 (1-888-GENERAC).

Possible Cause
Battery disconnect OFF
Inverter disabled
REbus not operating
DC disconnect OFF
Loose connection
Insufficient voltage
Inverter and battery not
using same PLM channel
Solution
Turn battery disconnect switch ON.
Enable inverter
Verify REbus is operating correctly.
Verify inverter is disabled, then turn DC disconnect ON.
Verify connections are secure.
Measure voltage at the REbus terminals; there should be at least
360V between RE+ and RE-.
Set inverter and battery to same PLM channel.
