4. Device Operation Instructions

4.1 Check Connection

1. The default factory IP address for the IP camera is 192.168.10.1 and the subnet mask is
255.255.255.0. Change your computer IP address to the same network subnet as the IP camera, for
example: IP Address of PC to 192.168.10.100 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 same as that of the
IP camera.
2. Example: To test whether the IP camera is connected properly try pinging it, by clicking on
the Windows button and the letter 'R' on the PC keyboard, entering the Run box in left hand corner
of screen and entering "CMD" and click OK to display a black MSDOS screen with a flashing
cursor.

4.2 Searching for IP camera device using ZipFinder and changing IP etc.

ZipFinder may be used for searching and changing IP devices on a network. This program will be
found on the client CD software disk supplied with the IP camera. To run ZipFinder click on the
local connection icon on the desktop. Note that this tool must be used with care and must be
removed once the IP addressing is completed.
1. First go onto the Windows PC and add an IP address in the range of the IP default address so
the IP cameras that can be detected by your PC. Then by running ZipFinder you can search any
device within the IP address range of the IP camera and the existing PC IP address range.

Go to Control Panel, Network and Internet, Networking and Sharing Centre and then click on
Local Area Connection.
