Motor control equipment and electronic conrollcrs are connected to hazardous line voltages. When
servicingdrives andelectronic controllers. therc mightbe exposedcomponents with cases orprotrusions
at or above ljne potenrial. Extreme care should be takcn to protect against shock.
Stand on an insulating pad and make it a habit touse only one hand when checking components. Always
work with anotherperson in case anemergency occurs. Disconnect power before checking controllers
or pedolming maintenance. Be sure equipmenl is properly grounded. Wear safety glasses whenever
working on an electronic controllers or rotating electrical equipment.
