IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB 5.2. Operation Before operating the Pyrometer IGA315-K USB the looking though lense is to be adjusted at a bright, white background (e.g. a sheet of paper) by turning the ocular until the circle-shaped measuring field is visible sharply at the relaxed eye. We recommend the using of the grey filter by screwing in the thread of the ocular at high measuring temperatures. Focusizing is done by the looking through lens. To adjust the distance loosen the tighting ring and move the tube by turning until the measured object is focusized sharply. -

Changing rechargeable batteries / external recharging To charge the rechargeable batteries the ribbed screw of the battery compartment must be loosened and the compartment cover must be removed. Now you can remove the rechargeable batteries. The batteries must inserted in the battery charger correctly as shown in the battery chargers manual. -

IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB 5.7. Clearing of storage To initiate clearing press simultaneously. Select Init. Display: Confirmation of clearing is done by pressing Display : after a few seconds Abortion of clearing is done by pressing before confirmation. Select 5.8. IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB 6. Configuration 6.1. Selection of values The selection of values can be done by pressing the key. The displayed value will be enlarged or reduced by one step. If one of the two keys is pressed longer than two seconds a quick-count mode wil be setted to allow the change of values more quickly. -

IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB 6.4. Minimum temperature Display : The minimum temperature can be chosen by pressing between 600 °C (1112 °F) and 1600 °C (2912 °F). Notice: If the measured value is beneath this minimum temperature will not be stored! 6.5. Energy saving mode The energy saving mode will shutdown energy intensive processes (e.g. LED dispays). These status will be reached after not using the instrument for the presetted time (in se- conds). The instrument will not shut down completely and will be in measuring mode immi- deatly after pressing the measuring button. -

Possible modes are: (C): Continous measuring: The measured values will be displayed continously in the display as long as the measuring key is pressed at the first step. The actually measuring value will be written to the storage if the measuring key is pressed at the second step. (P): Peak picker mode: The measured values are computed continously to an actual maximum value. -

IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB 11. Installation USB Driver The installation consists of two steps. First of all is the installation as USB serial converter. The please install the USB serial port. Please insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive. As soon as the device is connected the hardware assistant will detect it automatically. - Page 15 IMPAC Handpyrometer IGA315-K USB Please choose in the following window the appropriate source (your CD-ROM drive) with the driver. The software will be searched under the given source path and than will be installed. You have now finished the installation of USB serial converter. Installation of USB serial port will be done analogue to USB serial converter (please see previous figures).
