Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Make sure the power mains voltage available in your area corresponds to the
operating voltage stated on the type label.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
The unit is not intended for continuous professional operation. The unit is
intended to be used in closed rooms only and in similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm
houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. The use in any other way is not
considered as intended use.
Never leave the food steamer for long time unsupervised when in use. Keep
out of reach of children or persons in need of supervision.
The unit must not be operated by means of an external timer or a separate
remote-control system.
Please connect the power plug of the food steamer only to a properly
grounded socket. Do not unplug from power mains by pulling the power cord.
Always grasp the plug itself to unplug. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
Place the food steamer on a stable, flat, water and heat-resistant surface. Do
not operate the unit outdoors or near gas flames, electric stoves or other hot
surfaces or in an oven.
Never carry the food steamer while it is in operation or filled with hot water.
Do not use the steam basket (2, 3) with the drip tray (11) on the basic unit (5).
Water cannot drip off and due to heat expansion the closed steam basket
might burst.
After each use, unplug from power supply before cleaning, draining water or
when not in use.
Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
Allow the basic unit to cool fully before storing it.
