Explorer X
Congratulations on purchasing the Fox
Explorer X manufactured from the
highest quality 420D/6oz Fully
Breathable Nylon with a
5000mm Hydrostatic Head.
Treated properly and maintained
correctly, it will provide you with
outstanding performance season after season.
This leaflet details some of the things you should
know about your Explorer X.
Breathable Material
1 As with most breathable materials, the fabric used on the Explorer X will
reduce condensation dramatically, however no breathable fabric will
totally eliminate it.
2 All breathable fabrics are affected by temperature. For example, the
amount of moisture in the air or the colder the temperature, the worse
the condensation will become and the harder it will be for the material to
deal with it. Therefore in cold, damp or very wet weather conditions, the
addition of the 'Explorer Winter Skin X' will significantly reduce
any potential condensation. It's worth noting that, in extreme cases of
condensation, you can dry the inside by pushing the moisture through
the cover by warming the inside.
3 Cold damp conditions will cause the material to go slack, whilst hot/dry
temperatures will cause the material to tighten. This is normal.
4 To maintain its performance, we recommend that the cover is treated
with a reputable re-proofing agent specifically designed to be
compatible with breathable materials. When it needs doing is really a
matter of how often you use your Explorer X. As a rule of thumb, any
water should 'bead up' and run off rather than soaking into the material.

How do I store my
Explorer X?
You should ensure the Explorer X
is dry before being stored away. If
this is not possible at the end of
a session, you should allow it to
dry out thoroughly when you get
home.
