NewStream Quick Start Guide
Overview
The intent of this document is to assist the user with the initial set up of the NewStream system as quickly as possible using the default settings.
The NewStream ships with three default presets, one for each mode of operation (ENG, CNG, and SNG) which can be used immediately to transmit
or stream video / audio according to the licensed features ordered. The NewStream system, depending on the mode, utilizes a RF outdoor unit
(RFODU) for microwave transmission, a Cellular outdoor unit (CODU) for Cellular transmission, and L‐band outputs for Satellite transmission.
Quick Start Process (ENG)
1.
Connect the NewStream or a legacy ODU to the IDU (refer to the IDU Rear Panel Connections section of this document for cable connections)
and set the ODU switch on rear panel to match the ODU type.
WARNING: If the ODU switch is placed in the wrong position or if you change the ODU type without changing the switch position
and restarting the IDU, this may result in damage to the ODU and inability to communicate with the

Apply power to the IDU. After boot‐up verify ODU is detected by pushing the ODU touch screen tab to see the ODU status.

To access the Web UI (the default IP address is 192.168.1.10, log in using admin/admin.

Select Preset 1 (default ENG) which is set for SD‐SDI and embedded audio.

Select the RF channel you want to use and press the transmit/standby button to start RF transmission.

To create, save or copy custom presets, RF channels or other advanced setting refer the user manual.

Please note that the user manual can be accessed from the Web UI Support tab.
Note: For Cellular (CNG) and Satellite (SNG) mode refer to the user manual for instructions on how to get these modes
configured.
