Check that the crankshaft is free to rotate easily. If it is
not, any stresses can be relieved by tapping the ends of
the crankshaft with a plastic mallet.
Check that the sealing rings are not worn or otherwise
damaged (cracks in the rubber) and fit replacements if
necessary. Lubricate the sealing rings with off before fitting
them in place.
Use sealing ring assembly sleeve No 502 50 79-01.
Note the following when fitting the sealing ring on the
drive side:
1. First fit the seating ring in the holder. The dust-exclu-
ding tongue should face outwards.
2. Fi t the O-ring in the bearing seat outside the ball bea-
ring.
3. Fit sealing ring assembly socket No 502 50 53-01 on
the crankshaft.
4. Push the sealing ring holder into position and tighten
the three screws.
Mount the centrifugal clutch onto the crankshaft (left-
hand thread.
Inspect the thrust bearing in the centre of the clutch
drum Replace if necessary.
Lubricate the shad carrying the clutch with a few drops
of oil and fit the crankcase and clutch housing together.
Fit other components in reverse order to removal. See
also the relevant section in the manual.
