EASY-SOFT Pro only allows communication via COM ports. This application note will explain what is required to setup a GDW-11 modem and the Easy- Soft Pro software to enable programs to be downloaded and uploaded to the Easy Relay unit. -

Application Note 2. Configuring the GDW-11 Start the GD-Tool program and connect the PC to the GDW-11 with the serial cable. Power up the modem, then click on the Autoconnect button to establish comm’s. Click here to commence comm’s Once GD-Tool has read all of the settings in the modem, there will be several tabs available to click on. - Page 5 Now click on the Basic tab to configure the connection details. Set the boxes as shown below and then click on the “Write button” to store these settings. That completes the setup of the GDW-11 modem. Close GD-Tool and disconnect the serial cable to the modem.

The box shown on the left will appear, Change the “PC => Local Device” value to 10000 ms. Now power up the GDW-11 and Easy Relay units. After a few seconds check that the GDW-11 NET LED is flashing to indicate network availability.

Close the Hyperterminal program, and when prompted select “Yes” if you want to save the connection set-up for future use.
