    This manual includes important information that every rider needs to fully understand. Please study this manual cautiously in its entirety before your first ride on your new CAKE, ÖSA. Do not ride the motorcycle until you've attained enough understanding of its controls and features.

    2. General information 2.1 Safety Advice When riding a CAKE bike for the first time, there are a few things to consider. The bike has an electric motor with instant torque and a primary drive with no gears or clutch, which means you have all the power available at all times using the throttle.

    Once the PIN has been changed, write it down and don’t lose it. If you would lose or forget your PIN code has to be reset by the Cake service team. Your PIN can consist of either 3 or 6 digits. The available digits are 1, 2, or 3. A PIN can for example be “131”, “113”, “132212”...

    Never ride the bike above your comfort level and always ride according to your riding skills. We always recommend a new CAKE-rider to start on the first ride mode to get used to the bike and the differences between an electric motor and an internal combustion engine.

    4.2A ÖSA Lite Ride mode 1 This riding mode is perfect when navigating crowded roads and top speed is not of importance. It offers you the best range and has a top speed of 30kmh/19mph. Ride mode 2 This riding mode has a top speed of 45kmh/28mph and is perfect for casual riding in the city.

    4.4 Brake mode The ÖSA comes with two different brake modes that you can choose from to suit your riding style. Brake mode 1 This brake mode has the motor brake turned off. When you release the throttle, the bike keeps freewheeling making for a pleasant experience for casual cruising. Brake mode 2 This brake mode has the motor brake activated when you release the throttle.

    5. Charging and Battery 5.1 Battery Be careful, the battery has a high voltage and a high current. Careless handling of the battery pack can lead to serious injury or death. • Always turn the battery off when the battery pack is not installed in the bike or connected by the power connector.

    • Never charge the bike without supervision. • Never use the charger in any other application than with the CAKE ÖSA. • Never use any other charger than the original CAKE ÖSA charger. • Always follow the battery instructions giving above.

    If this step is not followed properly, it could result in serious injury or even death. CAKE takes no responsibility for damages or injuries that is a result of incorrectly clamped items.

    If you can't find the problem you are experiencing or a solution that works for you, contact CAKE directly. I can find small “shavings” from the belt. This is perfectly normal and happens in the beginning when you use a new belt. If the belt looks damaged and you feel unsure.
