Impurities in the actuator
Incorrect valve body positioning
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Replace the seal
Replace with a gasket of a
different type of elastomer
Modify the operating conditions
Replace with a gasket of a
different type of elastomer
Install the actuator correctly
Change from normally open
(NO) to normally closed (NC) or
vice versa
Actuator inspection and
maintenance
Disassemble and correctly
reposition the valve body
