7. Maintenance
An authorized service technician may only open the instrument.
NOTE: If the instrument is malfunctioning, please test:

Battery condition and polarity

Condition of the fuse(s) if available.
Changing the battery
Once the symbol or BATT is displayed, the old batteries need to be
replaced.
1. Replace to protective cap to switch OFF the device.
2. Remove the screw of the battery compartment using a proper
screwdriver.
3. Replace the flat battery. Pay attention to the polarity.
4. Replace the battery compartment and secure the screw.
5. If the instrument is not used for a longer time, remove the batteries.
Cleaning
If the instrument is dirty after daily usage, it is advised to clean it by using
a humid cloth and a mild household detergent. Prior to cleaning, ensure
that instrument is switched off and disconnected from external voltage
supply and any other instruments connected. Never use acid detergents
or dissolvent for cleaning.
