People's lives depend on your proper installation and servicing of our products. It is important to
read and follow all instructions shipped with this product. In addition, listed below are some other
important safety instructions and precautions you should follow:
• To properly install a vehicular camera system and options, you must have a good
understanding of automotive electrical systems along with proficiency in the installation
and use of safety warning equipment.
• Read and follow all safety and operating instructions before installing, configuring, or
operating the entire DTX Series system. Safety and operating instructions are also located
in the DTX Series software interface and can be accessed by clicking the Help button.
• DO NOT install equipment or route wiring in the deployment path of an airbag.
• If a vehicle seat is temporarily removed, verify with the vehicle manufacturer if the seat
needs to be recalibrated for proper airbag deployment.
• When drilling into a vehicle structure, be sure that both sides of the surface are clear of
anything that could be damaged. Remove all burrs from drilled holes. To prevent electrical
shorts, grommet all drilled holes through which wiring passes. Also ensure that the mounting
screws do not cause electrical or mechanical damage to the vehicle.
• You should frequently inspect the DTX Series System to ensure that it is operating properly
and that it is securely attached the vehicle.
• File these instructions in a safe place and refer to them when maintaining or reinstalling the
product.
Failure to follow all safety precautions and instructions may result in property damage, serious
injury, or death.
Product Overview
The Model DTX-CSM Front Camera Suction Mount (FSC Part No. 8605238) is a mounting
option with a powerful suction cup for attaching the DTX-FC front camera to the front windshield.
When used in place of the standard permanent-mount adhesive kit, it allows the camera to be
easily repositioned on the windshield. The dual pivot vertical/horizontal mount provides flexible
viewports and comes preassembled, making the camera installation quick and easy.
