should follow:
To properly install a light assembly:
you must have a good understanding of
automotive electrical procedures and
systems, along with proficiency in the
installation and use of safety warning
equipment.
When drilling into a vehicle structure,
be sure that both sides of the surface
are clear of anything that could be
damaged.
You should frequently inspect the light
system to ensure that it is operating
properly and that it is securely at-
tached to the vehicle.

IV. INSTALLATION ON VEHICLE ROOF.

CAUTION
To avoid injury and damage to the unit, an
assistant should help handle the Raydian
lightbar.
The Raydian lightbar has the mounting brack-
ets pre-positioned for mounting on the Ford
Crown Victoria. If the light assembly will be
mounted on a Crown Victoria, skip steps A and
C.
A. Loosen the 3/8-16 hex nuts sufficiently to allow
the mounting brackets to be adjusted in and out to fit
the roof of the vehicle. If the Raydian is being installed
on a vehicle with a steep forward slope roof, like the
Chevy Impala, install the wedges between the HotFoot
and the bottom extrusion of the lightbar on the forward
track as shown in figures 1 and 2.
B. Place the Raydian lightbar on the vehicle roof at
the desired location. Usually the unit should be in-
stalled so that the mounting hooks attach at, or immedi-
ately behind, the door center post.
C. Adjust both mounting brackets in or out until
the rubber mounting pads rest near the edge of the roof,
or gutter, where the roof is most rigid. Center the unit so
that the end of the assembly and edge of the roof are
equidistant on each side of the vehicle.
IMPORTANT
Plan all cable routing before completing the
installation.
