7.12 Replacing the Fuel tank and Fuel
lines
A
Remove the engine cover. Remove the air filter.
See Dismantling and assembling the Air filter.
Assembly is done in the reverse order as set out
for dismantling.

Caution: When dismantling and assembling the
fuel tank, be careful not to damage the fuel line
tubes.
Disconnect fuel line tubes (A) and (B) from the
carburettor.
Loosen the screw holding the bracket (C) on the
volute case. Remove the bracket and fuel line tube.

Loosen the two screws on the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel tank (D).

Remove the grommet (E) on the fuel tank to
access the fuel line tubes and fuel filter.
When assembling the grommet the triangle
marking should be placed in towards the volute
case. Place the fuel lines as shown in picture.

Check that the feed line is correctly positioned in
the groove and clamped to the volute case at the
white paint marking.
When attaching the fuel tank to the volute case:
Check that the boss (F) of fuel tank is inserted into
the dent of volute case.
Fuel pump cap
G
Check that the holes on the fuel pump cap are not
clogged. Clean the holes if clogged.
