Preparation

Charging the battery

A separate battery pack supplies the horse clipper with power.
Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be

charged for approx. 180 minutes!

1. Disconnect the appliance from the battery pack (H).
2. Connect the appliance plug of the plug-in transformer to the charg-
ing socket (IN) of the battery pack (Fig. 2ⓐ).

3. Connect the plug-in transformer to the mains socket (Fig. 2ⓑ). The
charging process starts.

During charging, the green charging indicator (I) is
illuminated.

It should take approx. 180 minutes for the appliance to
charge to full capacity.

4. After the charging process has been completed, the charging indi-
cator of the battery pack will start blinking.

1. Put on equipment belt. You can easily attach the battery pack to
the belt with the fastening clip. The horse clipper can be put in the

designated holster.
2. Connect the appliance plug of the horse clipper in the socket (OUT)
of the battery pack (Fig. 3).

3. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch and switch off after
use (Fig. 4).

The appliance can be operated for up to 150 minutes
when the battery pack is fully charged.

In case of insufficient maintenance of the blade set, the
operating time can be reduced considerably.

When the output drops noticeably, recharging the bat-
tery pack becomes necessary.

Maintenance
Warning! Injuries and material damage due to incorrect
handling.
f Switch off the appliance before cleaning it or performing
any maintenance and disconnect it from the mains.
Cleaning and care
Danger! Electric shock due to penetration of liquid.
f Do not immerse the appliance in water!
f Do not allow any liquid to get inside the appliance.
Handle with care! Danger from aggressive chemicals.
Aggressive chemicals could damage the appliance and
accessories.
f Never use solvents or scouring agents.
f Only use cleaning agents and blade set oil recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
Accessories and spare parts are available from your dealer or
our service centre.
f Lift the blade set out of the housing (Fig. 5). Use the cleaning brush
to remove any cut hairs from the housing opening and from the
blade set (Fig. 8).
Handle with care! Injuries due to incorrect handling.
f The blade set must not be unscrewed.
f The top blade must not be pushed out completely!
f Push the top blade to the side (Fig. 8ⓐ)and remove cut hairs from
the top and bottom blade using the cleaning brush. After cleaning,
return the top blade to its initial position (Fig. 8ⓑ). The top blade
should be aligned in the centre of the bottom blade.
f After cleaning the blade set, we recommend using hygienic spray.
It keeps all blade sets hygienically clean and is effective against
bacteria and viruses.
f Oil the blade set with the blade set oil (Fig. 9).
f We recommend that you clean and care for your blade set during
and after clipping with Blade Ice spray. The Blade Ice spray ensures
instant cooling, oiling and cleaning of the blade set, while also
protecting against corrosion.
f Reattach the blade set after cleaning (Fig. 6/7). Switch the appli-
ance on briefly (approx. 10 sec.) to ensure the oil film is evenly
distributed.
f For a good and long-lasting cutting performance, it is
important to oil the blade set frequently
f If the cutting performance deteriorates after long use
despite regular cleaning and oiling, the blade set should
be replaced.
f Clean the air filter regularly to ensure the supply of air:
1. Unscrew the filter cover using a screwdriver and remove
from the housing (Fig. 10ⓐ)
2. Clean the air filter using the cleaning brush.
3. Push the filter cover into the housing until it locks into
position (Fig. 10ⓑ).
f Only wipe the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
