TROUBLESHOOTING AND SOLUTIONS

Problem
Paint output too low
Poor quality spray pattern
Valve stem leaks
Spaygun will not shut-off
correctly, dripping

Cause
• Nozzle too small
• Paint pressure too
low
• Nozzle blocked
•High-pressure fi lter of
pump blocked
• Nozzle damaged
• Nozzle too large
• Paint pressure too
low
•Material viscosity too
high
• Nozzle partially
blocked
•Packing worn
• Valve stem demaged
•Valve seat or valve ball
is worn out
•Packingscrew too
tight

Solution
•Select larger nozzle (see
chapter. 8.1)
• Adjust material pressure
required.
•Clean nozzle (see chapter 5.0)
•Clean or replace fi lter
• Replace the nozzle
•Select smaller nozzle (see
chapter 8.1)
• Increase pressure
• Thin material acc. to
manufacturer's instruction.
•Clean the nozzle (see chapter
5.4.3)
• Sealing-screw retighten
• Replace the packing on the
valve stem (see chapter 6.2)
• Replace valve stem
• Check valve stem and fl at
jet nozzle and replace the
wornpart.
•Check tightness, if required
loosen, then re-tigthen ac-
cording to chapter 6.2.2
