Intended Use
The air hammer has been exclusively designed for chiselling and chipping
stone, concrete and masonry.
The intended use also includes an operation following the operating
instructions.
Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or any
changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious risks
and is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose. The
operator is liable for any damage caused by improper use.
Before first Use
Unpack the air hammer and the accessory and check all parts for any damage
in transit. Dispose of packaging materials or store it out of reach of children.
Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Start-up
The air hammer is equipped with an R ¼" air inlet (1c). For your own
safety it is not recommended to use a permanent connection between the
air hammer and the air hose, but use the supplied quick coupling adaptor
(J) instead.
Seal the end of the quick coupling adaptor with Teflon tape before you
screw it onto the air connection of the air hammer.
The air hammer has to be provided with lubricating oil during operation.
Before each use add oil through the air fitting or use an oil-fog lubricator.
Also read the chapter "Lubrication".
Use a flexible hose to connect the air hammer to the compressor. Set up a
pressure of 6.2 bar on the compressor. Check all air connections for
leakages.
Switch off the compressor again.
Insert the desired impact chisel into the hexagonal chuck (C).
Then slide the retaining spring (1a) over the chisel and screw it down onto
the threats on the chipping hammer. Screw the spring down all the way.
The spring is exposed to severe stress during operation. Check it regularly
for cracks and damage and replaced if necessary.
Power up the compressor.
Use the flow regulator (1d) to regulate air supply steplessly.
