and remove the key. Remove all the cutting units from
the machine.
Note: Make sure that all the black plastic tie straps
have been removed from the groomer assemblies.
3. Remove the carriage bolts and nuts securing the
height-of-cut brackets to the cutting-unit side plates
(Figure 3).

4. Loosen the screws securing the height-of-cut brackets
to the front roller shaft.
5. Remove the height-of-cut brackets and the front roller
from the cutting-unit side plates (Figure 3).
6. Remove the 4 bolts securing the left side plate to the
cutting unit and loosen the rear roller clamp nuts; pull
the side plate off of the cutting unit (Figure 4).

7. Remove the 2 nuts and bolts securing the counter
weight to the side plate. Remove the counter weight
and bolts from the side plate (Figure 5).

8. Remove the reel from the cutting unit to access the
inside of the right side plate.
9. Remove the two bolts from the inside of the right side
plate as you did on the left.
10. Install the reel into the cutting unit and secure it with
the left side plate and 4 bolts removed previously.
11. Loosely install the new right and left height-of-cut
brackets to the existing front roller with new 5/16 x
1-1/8 inch bolts and 5/16 inch flange-head locknuts.
Position the height-of-cut brackets as shown in Figure
6.
Note: The left height-of-cut bracket is marked with
an "L" and the right height-of-cut bracket is marked
with an "R".

12. Using the upper square hole in each side plate, loosely
mount the height-of-cut brackets to the cutting-unit
side plates with the carriage bolts previously removed
and (2) new 3/8 inch flange nuts, positioning them as
shown in Figure 6.
