When installing an in-service spark plug, tighten
the plug an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn.
•
When installing a new spark plug, tighten the plug
an additional 1/2 turn.
4. Install the spark-plug wire pushing the wire onto the
terminal of the plug (Figure 29).
Cleaning the Spark Arrester
1. Remove the top cover and spark plug wire.
2. Remove the spark arrester (Figure 31).

arrester screen (Figure 32).
