The quick timer recording allows you to start recording by pressing the
QTR button once, and to set the recording duration simply by pressing
the same QTR button repeatedly.
1 Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
2 Press the CH/CURSOR v or ^ button to select the program to be
recorded.
3 Insert a cassette with the erasure prevention tab intact.
4 Press the QTR button.
The
indicator will appear.
5 Within 5 seconds, while the
QTR button again.
Recording will start.
6 Press the QTR button repeatedly to set the recording duration in
units of 30 minutes up to 4 hours or the end of the tape. See "Setting
the recording duration." below.
The recording duration indication decreases as the recording pro-
gresses. When 0:00 is reached, recording stops.
Notes
If a cassette without the erasure prevention tab is inserted, it will be
automatically ejected when the QTR button is pressed twice.
If the clock is not set, the quick timer recording cannot be performed.

To stop the quick timer recording
Press the POWER,

Setting the recording duration
The recording duration increases by 30 minutes each time the QTR
button is pressed.

• When you press the QTR button after the "End" indication is
displayed, the
indicator will appear and recording will continue.
If a quick timer recording and an automatic timer recording overlap
The quick timer recording has priority.
