Freezing a Picture - still picture
Press the
button during playback. The picture will be frozen on
the screen. You may use this feature to study details of a particular
scene.
To return to normal playback, press the
When the still picture mode lasts for more than 5 minutes, the unit
automatically enters the stop mode to protect the tape.
The still picture may shake if the transition between pictures or a fast-
motion picture is frozen.
With a tape recorded in EP mode, the picture may be monochrome
with noise lines.
If the quality or handling of a tape is poor, the video noise lines cannot
be removed completely depending on the recording quality of the
tape.
When the
button is pressed in the still picture mode, playback will
start after the tape is rewound a little.

The unit automatically adjusts tracking during slow-motion play-
back. However, some noise may be present when viewing the
cassette recorded with another VCR.

Still Adjustment
When viewing a still picture or slow-motion playback, the picture may

Picture Search
This feature is used for locating a particular section of a tape quickly.
