• Release the throttle trigger immediately if you slip or fall.
• Take care not to drop the hedge cutter or knock it against any other objects.
• Stop the engine and remove the spark plug before you adjust or repair the
machine.
• Keep the hedge cutter at a safe distance from fire or sparks.
• We recommend you take the following precautions to prevent injury during
use:
– Ensure that your body is warm, especially the head, neck, feet, ankles,
hands and wrists.
– Keep your blood circulation going by doing various arm exercises during
breaks. You should also avoid smoking.
– Do not work for long periods with the hedge cutter. Plan your working
day so you do not have to use the hedge cutter all day.
– Contact your doctor before you expose yourself to any more cold or
vibrations if you get pain, redness or swollen fingers which then become
pale and numb.
• Always use hearing protection. If you expose your ears to noise for a long
period, this could result in hearing loss and even deafness.
• Use a helmet with full face protection to prevent injury from twigs and
branches.
• Use sturdy, non-slip gloves to get a better grip on the hedge cutter. Gloves also
protect against vibrations.
