7.1 Dismantling the starter

Dismantling the air fi lter cover.

Loosen the starter with the screws 2xA and 4xB.

Loosen the air conductor from the starter.

Pull the cord out about 30 cm and lift it into the
notch on the starter pulley's outer edge. Release
the tension in the return spring by allowing the
starter pulley to rotate slowly backwards (see
fi gure 4 and 5).
WARNING!
If the spring tension is activated on
the starter pulley, the spring can fl y
out and cause personal injury.
Use protective goggles.
