21 . TROUBLE SHOOTING

Trouble
Motor Does Not Run.
Motor speed is not
displayed correctly.
High Run-Out.
Abnormal Vibration or
noise during spindle
rotation.

Cause
Power is not supplied.
Incompatible Motor is connected to
the control unit.
Controller Button is set to manual but trying
to start with an external command signal
through Input/Output Connector A
Controller Button is set to Auto but
trying to start with the Start/Stop Button
on the control panel.
Motor Cord or connector is disconnected.
Emergency Stop Signal on Input/Output
Connector B is OFF (Open).
(Only when the parameter
to on.)
Error Code Indicated.
Low Air Pressure.
The Start/Stop Button is not activated
because Key Hold is set.
Motor Fixed Speed is set in the
parameter.
Motor Maximum Speed is set in the
parameter.
Foreign particles stuck in the collet
chuck or Spindle.
Collet nut is not correctly installed.
Ball bearings are worn.
Foreign particles in the ball bearings.
Ball bearings are worn.
Tool out of balance.
Inspect/Corrective Action
・ Check to the main power inlet connection on the
rear of the control unit.
・ Insert the power plug correctly.
・ Check if the fuse is blown.
Connect the motor spindle that can be connected to
the control unit.
Refer to section 4 "SYSTEM CHART" Fig. 2 .
Start the motor spindle with the Start/Stop Button
the control panel, or set the CTRL Button
.
Start with an External Command Signal or set the
CTRL Button to Manual.
Re-connect the motor cord, check the connector
and check the motor cord.
Set Emergency Stop Signai to be "ON" (close).

Check this Operation Manual for the source of
the error code (Table 7 ).
Refer to section 6 - 2 " 1 SETTING AIR PRESSURE".
Release the Key Hold.
Check the setting parameter and adjusts as
required.
Clean the inside of the collet chuck, chuck nut
and spindle.
Position the chuck nut correctly.
Return to NAKANISHI dealer service.
Return to NAKANISHI dealer service.
Replace the tool.
