ADJUST THE STEERING GEAR (Figure 20)
If excessive play develops in the steering, adjust the
pinion gear as follows:
1. Slightly loosen the mounting screws in the lower
steering shaft bearing.
2. Move the lower steering shaft bearing to the rear
as needed.
3. Hold the bearing in place, tighten the mounting
screws. Torque screws to between 30-35 foot lbs.

The tractor seat can be adjusted forward or backward
for a more comfortable seating position.
To adjust the seat:
1. Raise the rear of the seat to a horizontal position.
2. Loosen (do not remove) the four hex head screws
in the bottom of the seat.
3. Pull up on the seat to move the seat toward the
rear of the tractor, or lower the seat to move the seat
toward the front of the tractor.
4. Tighten the four hex head screws in the bottom of
the seat. Lower the seat. If your tractor seat needs more
adjustment, complete steps 5 through 9.

5. Raise the seat.
6. Loosen (but do not remove) the four hex head
screws that attach the seat rails to the main frame.
7. Move the seat forward or backward to the desired
seating position.
8. Tighten the four hex head screws.
9. Lower the seat.
