SERVICE KIT INSTRUCTIONS

Installation

Unhook the flapper chain from the trip arm.
The lock nut has left-hand threads. Turn the lock nut clockwise to remove
the lock nut and washer.
Remove the trip lever assembly from the toilet.
Position the replacement trip lever assembly through the toilet tank hole.
Slide the washer and lock nut on the trip arm. Hand tighten the lock nut to
the trip lever assembly by turning it counterclockwise. (The lock nut has
left-hand threads.)
K-9408 only: Turn the trip lever about 40 degrees below the horizontal
position. Carefully wrench tighten the lock nut no more than a quarter turn.
The trip lever should be horizontal when released.
Other models: Orient the trip lever so it is horizontal when at rest.
Carefully wrench tighten the lock nut no more than a quarter turn.
Attach the flapper chain to the trip arm. Flush the toilet to verify smooth,
unobstructed operation of the trip lever assembly. Correct as needed.
