Danger of injury/damage!
• Therapeutic sessions with the MEDISANA TDP do not replace medical diag-
nosis or treatment. Ask you doctor about each kind of pain or disease, before
using the device.
• A TENS therapy should only be done according to instructions of your doc-
tor!
• The therapy should be pleasant. If you feel pain or feel the application is
unpleasant, stop it and consult your doctor.
• Do not apply the MEDISANA TDP when operating a machine or while driv-
ing a car.
• Never use the device while taking a bath or shower. Should liquids penetrate
the device, immediately remove the batteries and avoid further application.
Contact your retailer or your service centre.
• Do not use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not put any foreign objects into one of the outlets. Avoid contact with pointed
or sharp objects. If you use the device for other purposes, the warranty expires.
• In case of a malfunction, do not try to repair the device yourself. Not only
does the warranty expire, but serious danger can result (fire, electric shock,
injury). Only authorised service offices should carry out a repair.
• If the device shows obvious damages on the housing or the LCD display,
send it to your specialist shop or directly to the MEDISANA service centre
for repair.
• Do not use damaged or defect lines to the electrodes; there is danger of
electric shock.
• Leaking battery acid may lead to chemical burns. Avoid contact between bat-
tery acid with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If battery acid comes in
contact with any of these parts, rinse the affected area with copious amounts
of plain water immediately and seek medical attention if needed.
• If the MEDISANA TDP device is used for commercial purposes a safety con-
trol has to be carried out at least once every two years at an authorized
service centre (MPBetreibV [Ordinance on Operators of Medical Devices]).
Notes on the electrodes
• Do not place the electrodes on areas with open skin.
• Use separate electrodes for each user.
• In case of skin irritation, stop the treatment and consult a physician.
• Take off the electrodes before taking a bath or swimming.
• After application, stick the electrodes back on the carrier paper. This way,
you prolong the electrodes life.
