Fire Safety Sensor
To get the best performance out of your upgraded LifeShield Security System we do recommend upgrading your entire
system by replacing your Fire Safety Sensor BUT it is not required. Your current Fire Safety Sensor will still work with
your upgraded system. If you choose to upgrade your Fire Safety Sensor please follow the steps below:
DELETING YOUR CURRENT FIRE SAFETY SENSOR
On your Security Touchpad
1)
Go to Settings
Enter your Master Code (if prompted)
to delete
Click "delete" on the top right of the screen
ADDING YOUR NEW FIRE SAFETY SENSOR
On your Security Touchpad
1)
Determine the exact location your Fire Safety Sensor will be placed and use a pencil to
mark precisely wherethe Fire Safety Sensor will be mounted.
2)
Keep these rules in mind when determining where to place your sensor.
THE FIRE SAFETY SENSOR CAN BE NO MORE THAN 3" AWAY FROM THE
SMOKE DETECTOR.
THE MICROPHONE (THE THREE SMALL CIRCLES ON THE TOP OF THE SENSOR)
MUST BE CLOSEST TO THE SMOKE DETECTOR.

Mount the back place to the ceiling using either the double sided tape or the screws provided.
4)
Remove the battery tab from the sensor and the battery.
5)
On your Security Touchpad go to Settings
Safety Sensor from the drop down Menu
** Not all hazard detectors are compatible with the Fire Safety Sensor
Sensors
Select the Sensor you would like
Sensors
Select the [+] on the top right
Click "ADD" and follow the instructions on the touchpad.
