    Getting Started Install / Remove the Battery Pack To install the battery pack 1. Lever the bottom of the battery into the bottom of the battery compartment and then fit the battery in until the release latch at the top locks into place. To remove the battery pack 1.

If there is no transmission nor an incoming call within a certain time, your Radio switches to the Power Save mode. The Radio is still able to receive transmissions in this mode.

    The UH200 Series uses the UHF-CB Channels. Refer to page 13 for UHF channel usage. • The transmit power of the UH200 Series is 2W in high power mode and 500mW in low power mode, see p4, Combination Keys (Standby Mode).

  • Page 9 Operation | MENU Mode CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) CTCSS is a feature that allows a group to talk to each other without hearing other users on the same channel. (Digital Coded Squelch) DCS is a digital extension of CTCSS. It provides 104 extra, digitally coded squelch codes that follow after the 50 CTCSS codes.

    Operation | MENU Mode Busy Channel Lockout (BCL) This feature prevents accidental transmission on a busy channel. For example, BCL is used when CTCSS or DCS is selected to prevent transmission when the radio detects a transmission from another unit using the same CTCSS or DCS code.
