User Interface
Windows Ink
The touchscreen's digitizer is a USB standard human input device (HID) that differentiates touch, pen and erase
input. Windows 10 recognises these features for applications that support Windows Ink. Each application may
behave differently but a change of input device will change the tool without using the software GUI.
A general rule of thumb (no pun intended):
Touch is Touch (per Windows Gestures on page 13)
Passive Digital Pen is Pen.
Palm Swipe is Erase.
