If you want to connect the ML1500 to a
WiFi Router
To configure the ML1500 for use with a WiFi router, you will
need to access the ML1500's Configuration Manager. Make
sure that the ML1500 is powered on and plugged into a
powered-on computer's Ethernet port.
Now access the Configuration Manager, doing the following:
1.
Open your computer's browser and type 192.168.5.1 into
your browser's address bar and then press Enter.
The login dialog box for your modem should appear. Enter
a Username and Password.
The default username is admin and the default password
is Motorola, You should use these initially, but you'll be
able to change them as described below.
Click Login. (If you can't access the Configuration
Manager, see the Troubleshooting Tips at the end of this
Quick Start.)
2.
For security reasons, the first time you log in to the
ML1500 you will be asked to change the default password
after you log in. Enter your new password, then click Save.
Your new password can be 6 to 32 alphanumeric
characters. We recommend writing your new password
on a piece of paper and attaching it to the bottom of your
unit.
3.
On the Basic Setup/APN page of the ML1500's
Configuration Manager, go to the left hand menu, click on
Setup then Mode. On the Select your Operating Mode
page, select the Bridge Mode radio button and click Save.
Bridge mode will automatically pass the IP address from
your Service Provider to your wireless router.
Turn off your WiFi router. Now unplug the Ethernet cable from
your computer and plug it into the WAN port of your wireless
router. Your router should be setup for DHCP mode
