Troubleshooting Tips

Why can't I connect to the Internet after installing my
modem?
• Check that the modem is powered on. The power LED on the
front panel should be on. If it is not on, then:
1. Check that the power button on the back of the unit is
pushed in.
2. Check that the USB power cable is correctly plugged into
the modem and that the other end of the cable is plugged
into the modem's plugged-in AC Power Cube or a USB
power jack that can supply at least 1.2 amperes.
3.
If you are using a USB port to power the modem and the
modem isn't working, it's possible that your USB port can
not supply enough power to the modem. Try plugging the
modem into AC power by using the modem's USB Power
Cube. I
• Confirm that the modem can talk to the SIM. Log into the
Configuration Manager by typing 192.168.5.1 in the address bar
of your browser, go to that address, enter the Username and
Password. The default username is admin and the default
password is motorola. If this is your first time logging into the
ML1500, you will be asked to change the default password
after you log in. If you have already changed the password,
enter your new password. Once you have the password you
want, click the Login button. On the left hand menu, click on
Status. There should be a 19 or 20 digit number next to ICCID.
If this number is missing, try reinserting your SIM. You may
need to get a new SIM from your service provider if the
modem can not read it.
• Look at the Signal Indicator leds on the front of your unit. If
none of the leds is on, or only one is on, you should move the
modem closer to a window to try and improve signal strength.
If even that doesn't work, you may need to buy a better
antenna.
• Verify with your service provider that your account is active.
