Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Ram will not advance.
Ram will not retract fully.
Ram and punching yoke are
not properly aligned.

PROBABLE CAUSE
Poor hydraulic connection.
Pump is faulty.
Weak or broken return spring.
Worn internal parts.
Spring plungers (13) do not extend
beyond the surface of the cylinder
base (12).

POSSIBLE REMEDY
Release hydraulic pressure at the
pump. Tighten the hydraulic connec-
tions by hand.
Refer to Troubleshooting section of
pump manual, or send pump to an
authorized service center.
Replace return spring (10).
Replace backup ring (8) and O-ring (7).
Partially unscrew the spring plungers
(13), so that they extend from the
cylinder base (12).
