    Use it to initially set up the mattress and keep it as a reference for day-to-day routines and as a guide to maintenance. About Alpha Active 3 The systems comprise of a mattress Alpha Active 3 overlay and pump. The support system can be used on hospital and domestic beds.

    Alpha Active 3 mattress overlay comprises the Alpha Active 3 following components: Mattress Overlay Cover 3 Static Head Cells Tubeset 13 Alternating (Active) Cells Serial No. Base Cover The standard cover comprises of a 2-way stretch PU Detachable Cover coated knitted fabric zipped to a durable nylon base.     Clinical Applications Indications The system is indicated for the Alpha Active 3 prevention and management of pressure ulcers when combined with an individualised monitoring, repositioning and wound care programme. mattress is designed for patients Alpha Active 3 weighing up to 135 kg (300 lb) .

    CPR at the head end. The cells of the mattress must be uppermost. Caution • Do not use the Alpha Active 3 mattress overlay directly on the bed frame. 2. Secure the overlay to the base mattress by placing the four long straps under the corners of the base mattress.
  • Page 15 WARNING Make sure that the mains power cable is positioned to avoid causing a hazard and is clear of moving bed mechanisms or other possible entrapment areas. Position the pump, feet down, on any convenient horizontal surface or alternatively suspend from the bed foot rail by means of the integral hanging brackets.

    4. Controls, Alarms and Indicators Controls Pressing the button will activate the pump.The On/Off Button On/Off switch will illuminate when the pump is on. During an alarm condition the sound of the alarm can be Alarm Mute muted by pressing this button. The yellow indicator will then remain on but the alarm will be muted.
