DVF file [LPEC: for ICD-ST series] (Digital Voice File/file extension: *.dvf)
The DVF file is a sound file format used in recording messages on the Sony IC recorder
ICD-ST series equipped with a USB port. The sound data is compressed so that the size
of the file is relatively small. You can edit and play back the DVF files on the Digital
Voice Editor. The DVF file can be added to the IC recorder ICD-ST series and can be
played back and edited there. You can select ST, SP and LP recording modes.

The DVF file has four formats: for ICD-BPx50 series, for ICD-BP100/BPx20 series, for
ICD-ST series, and for ICD-P series.
