Note:
To prevent the lift scissor arms from
expanding, pick up the platform lift from the
bottom when positioning it on the frame.

Position the lift onto the frame, aligning the
mounting holes with the holes in the frame
(Figure
16).

Mount each side of the lift to the frame channels
with a reinforcing plate and 2 capscrews (3/8-16
x 1 inch) and flange nuts
Note:
Use the reinforcing plates in rear
mounting holes only.
Note:
On HD, HDX, HDX-D, and HDX-Auto models,
the frame is equipped with weld nuts so that the flange
nuts are not required to secure the front of the lift to
the frame channels.

Parts needed for this procedure:

Battery cable with boot
1
Negative battery cable
Procedure
1.
Plug the connectors from the front and rear
harness into the lift harness.
2.
Locate the oil-pressure switch on the engine and
unplug the wire connected to the switch.
3.
Route the green wire from the front harness and
connect it to the oil pressure switch.
4.
Plug the wire previously removed from the oil
pressure switch into the harness piggy back
connector.
5.
Connect the ground wire from the lift to the
engine ground.
6.
Remove the nut from the positive battery clamp
(Figure
17).
7.
Insert the positive wire from the lift and the
ring terminal end of the red wire from the front
harness onto the cable clamp screw and loosely
secure it with the nut previously removed
