Operation

Checking the Oil Level

Capacity: 1.5 US qt
The lift reservoir is filled at the factory with 5W30 oil.
Check the level before the lift is first operated and
every 8 hours or daily, thereafter.
1.
Position the machine on a level surface.
2.
Raise the lift and engage the safety locks; refer
to the
Engaging Safety Locks (page
Note:
If you cannot raise the lift due to the lack
of oil in the reservoir, raise it with a hoist and
ensure that the safety locks are engaged to
expose reservoir breather cap.
3.
The oil level can be viewed through the reservoir.
If the oil level is low, proceed to next step.
4.
Clean the area around reservoir breather cap
(Figure
23).

Unscrew the breather cap from the top of the
reservoir.
Note:
Fluid should be within 2 inches from top
of reservoir.
6.
If level is low, add enough oil to the proper level.
Note:
Do not overfill.

Checking the Tire Pressure

Check the tire pressure every 8 hours or daily to
ensure proper levels.
Refer to the machine Operator's Manual for tire
inflation specification.

Engaging Safety Locks

1.
Position the machine on a level surface.
2.
Set the parking brake and chock the wheels.

Check the overhead clearance and for any
obstructions.

Press the Up button to raise the lift high enough
to engage the safety locks.
