do not want the indicator to light up, set "TALLY/IND" in
the TALLY/IND menu to "OFF".
c Red (R) tally lamps
Light up (in red) when the camera receives a red tally
signal. You can adjust the lamp brightness with "TALLY/
IND DIM" from the TALLY/IND menu. If you do not
want the lamps to light up, set "TALLY/IND" in the
TALLY/IND menu to "OFF".
d Auxiliary indicator
Currently not in use.
e Tilt-lock knob
Use this knob to secure the viewfinder at a desired angle.
The angle is locked when the knob is turned towards the
camera lens (LOCK position). When the knob is turned
towards the back of the camera, the angle can be adjusted.
Movements will be restricted with the amount of friction
set using the tilt friction adjustment knob.
f BRIGHT (brightness) control
Adjusts the brightness of the screen. Turn the control
clockwise to brighten the image. This feature has no effect
on the camera's video output signals.
g CONTRAST control
Adjusts the contrast of the screen. Turn the control
clockwise to increase the contrast. This feature has no
effect on the camera's video output signals.
h PEAKING control
Sharpens the edges in the image. Turn the control
clockwise to make the edges sharper. This feature has no
effect on the camera's video output signals.
i MENU SEL (menu selection) control
Turn the control to select a menu item, and then press the
control to confirm the selection. Use with the MENU
switch to set various functions.
When the menu is not displayed, pressing this control
shows the status information of the viewfinder on the
screen.

j MENU switch
Displays the menu. Use with the MENU SEL control to set
various functions.
When the menu is not displayed and this switch is pressed
and held for 3 seconds or more, "VR LOCK" appears. This
locks the BRIGHT, CONTRAST, and PEAKING controls
at their current settings, preventing accidental operation.
To unlock the controls, press this switch for 3 seconds or
more again so that "VR UNLOCK" appears.

k Yellow (Y) tally lamp
Lights up (in yellow) when the camera receives a yellow
tally signal. You can adjust the lamp brightness with
"TALLY/IND DIM" from the TALLY/IND menu. If you
do not want the lamp to light up, set "TALLY/IND" in the
TALLY/IND menu to "OFF".
l Lift-lock release knob
Use this knob to adjust the height of the viewfinder's
screen.
For details on operations, see "Adjusting the Height" on
page 34.
m Green (G) tally lamps
Light up (in green) when the camera receives a green tally
signal. You can adjust the lamp brightness with "TALLY/
IND DIM" from the TALLY/IND menu. If you do not
want the lamps to light up, set "TALLY/IND" in the
TALLY/IND menu to "OFF".

(attention) indicator
Lights up (in orange) when the camera detects certain
conditions. The conditions under which the indicator lights
up are specified on the camera. You can adjust the lamp
brightness with "TALLY/IND DIM" from the TALLY/
IND menu. If you do not want the indicator to light up, set
"TALLY/IND" in the TALLY/IND menu to "OFF".
For details on how to set up and verify the conditions
under which the
indicator lights up, refer to the
operation manual of the camera in use.
o STATUS indicator
Shows the current status of the viewfinder. You can adjust
the lamp brightness with "TALLY/IND DIM" from the
TALLY/IND menu.
Blinking in intervals of 0.5 seconds for two times,
followed by going off for 2 seconds: Rise in internal
temperature.
Turn off the power temporarily, or move the
viewfinder to a cool place.
Blinking in intervals of 2 seconds: Screen saver is
currently active.
To stop the screen saver, operate the camera or
viewfinder such that the image changes.
Lights up: Fan has been forced to stop.
The indicator goes out and the fan switches to
automatic control about five minutes after it is forced
to stop.
